TARS-ATEM Your ATEM.
Controlled
From
Anywhere.

Your ATEM hardware stays on location. You direct the show from wherever you are. Full remote control — cuts, transitions, switcher state — over the internet, in real time.

RollupTV runs TARS-ATEM live daily from the Empire State Building — zero crew on site.

Remote control.
Broadcast grade.
Zero compromise.

TARS-ATEM bridges your ATEM hardware to the internet through a local agent running on a Mac. Every button press, every transition, every switcher state change travels over our real-time control network and arrives at your hardware in under 50ms.

No VPN. No remote desktop. No bandwidth-hungry video feed of your switcher screen. Just clean, targeted commands — the same way your ATEM would receive them if you were sitting right next to it.

Because it runs inside the TARS session model, your producer can control the ATEM from the same interface they use to monitor transports, manage sources, and run the show.

Everything your
switcher can do.
From anywhere.

01
Full Switcher Control

Cuts, dissolves, wipes, DVE transitions — the full ATEM command set. If you can do it sitting next to the hardware, you can do it remotely through TARS-ATEM.

02
Real-Time State Sync

The producer UI always reflects the current live state of your hardware. Input selections, transition settings, downstream keyers — all synced bidirectionally.

03
Session-Native Control

TARS-ATEM runs inside your production session. The same session your transport nodes and studio panel use. One session code. Everything coordinated.

04
Producer Mode

A dedicated production panel built for live direction under pressure — large buttons, clear source labeling, instant visual feedback. Designed to be used during a show.

05
Zero Video Overhead

Unlike VNC or remote desktop, TARS-ATEM sends commands, not pixels. Your internet connection carries control data only — a few bytes per action, not megabits of screen video.

06
ATEM Mini + Beyond

Built and validated on ATEM Mini, ATEM Mini Pro, and ATEM Mini Extreme. The underlying BlackMagic protocol supports the full ATEM hardware family.

How It Works

Commands travel.
Latency doesn't.

The TARS-ATEM control chain is deliberately minimal. No video. No desktop streaming. Just the exact command your hardware needs to execute the cut.

Three agents.
One production.

TARS-ATEM handles the vision. TARS-Transport carries the signal. TARS-Studio is the producer's seat. Together they cover every layer of a live broadcast — remotely, reliably, without compromise.
